How to play locally

Материал из MassMeta Wiki

Shuttle keeps being called while you're trying to learn something? Want to explore a new department without the pressure of responsibilities? This guide will explain some useful admin commands to play locally.

First you will need to download and run the game. Setting up the database or BYOND Hub is not necessary.

Using Dream Daemon instead of double clicking the game is heavily recommended!

Файл:Wrench.png Useful Commands

By playing the game locally, you have access to admin verbs that are very useful for testing things unbothered.

You can change the next map with Change-map (RuntimeStation is a useful little testing map), restart immediately with Reboot-world, exit your body with Aghost, and (re)-enter any body by dragging your ghost sprite to it.

In the context menu (Shift + Right click), you can Rejuvenate yourself to heal all damage/hunger/mood, and Select Equipment to replace your items with any job's. (If you are a ghost, this will give you a new body.)

Before anything else, type Toggle-random-events into the command bar at the bottom right (space autofills). Random events will usually blow up or ruin random rooms while you're not looking!

When playing locally, your most-used command will be Spawn. You can spawn anything (including things that are unused/don't work/can ruin the station, so be careful!) by searching either its object path or name.

To teleport, you can use the Jump-to-Area verb, or click Jump to Turf on a floor tile in the context menu.

Testing items

Useful things to spawn are:

  1. A debug omnitool, use it in your hand to change to any tool. (ITEM/debug/omnitool)
  2. A debug ID card with every access and a million credits. (ITEM/card/id/advanced/debug)
  3. A tool to spawn new humans without using the spawn menu. (ITEM/debug/human_spawner)
  4. A bag full of every material. You can right click it directly on a techfab to insert everything at once. (ITEM/storage/bag/sheetsnatcher/debug)
  5. A tech disk with everything researched, insert this into an R&D console. (ITEM/disk/tech_disk/debug)

Infinite power

When starting a new round, the supermatter is not set up and the station will quickly run out of power. You can of course set it up the old-fashioned way, but if you just want to get on with your day there are two solutions:

  1. Type Secrets and click "All areas powered" and "recharge SMESs". This will immediately recharge the entire station, but this will only last a few minutes.
  2. A permanent solution is to go to the SMESs in Engineering and set up a debug SMES (/obj/machinery/power/smes/magical) or debug RTG (/obj/machinery/power/rtg/debug) to keep the station powered.
